Use of this site

SA Tax Guide provides free calculators and educational content relating to South African PAYE, UIF and salary tax. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

Not financial or tax advice

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, legal or tax advice. All calculators provide estimates based on publicly available SARS tax tables and standard formulas, and are intended for general guidance only. Your actual tax position may differ based on circumstances not captured by our calculators (retirement contributions, medical aid credits, multiple income sources, and more). Always confirm your specific position with SARS or a registered tax practitioner before making financial decisions.

Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to keep tax brackets, rebates and thresholds accurate and up to date, and we clearly label any figures that are provisional (not yet confirmed by an official Budget Speech). However, we do not guarantee that every figure on this site is error-free or current at every moment, and we accept no liability for decisions made based on results from this site. See our methodology page for exactly how figures are calculated.

No warranty

This site and its calculators are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SA Tax Guide and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or its calculators.

Intellectual property

The content, design and code of this site are the property of SA Tax Guide unless otherwise stated. You may share links to our calculators and guides; please do not reproduce our written content elsewhere without permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
